 Joseph R. Kemp was born in Huntsville, Alabama, in 1965. His undergraduate work was at Birmingham-Southern College, and at the University of Alabama, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Finance. During his college years, he served as President of Habitat for Humanity, and as a Big Brother at the Brewer-Porch Children’s Center in Tuscaloosa.Mr. Kemp received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1992. While at Cumberland, he served as a Cordell Hull Teaching Fellow, and President of the Christian Legal Society. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar Association in September, 1992. He has also been admitted to the Southern, Middle, and Northern United States District Courts. Upon graduation, Mr. Kemp worked as an associate attorney in the office of David P. Shepherd in Fairhope, Alabama. In 1996, he established the law firm of Joseph R. Kemp, P.C. in Pell City, Alabama. Mr. Kemp has served as chairman of the St. Clair County Christian Coalition and on the Board of Trustees for a committee in the Alabama State Bar. In his practice, he has successfully defended clients in class action litigation in Montgomery, St. Clair, Tuscaloosa, Cullman, and Lauderdale counties. He has represented plaintiffs in major automobile accident cases resulting in sizable settlements for his clients. Born:
